If you’ve ever dreamt of merging the graceful flow of vinyasa with the weightless freedom of aerial-yoga silks — this is your sign. The upcoming Aerial Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Mahé Yoga Studio in Zoetermeer offers exactly that: a powerful, embodied journey where breath, movement, and the elements converge into fluid, transformative flow.

What Makes This Training Special: Aerial + Vinyasa + Elements
Unlike standard aerial yoga teacher training or typical mat-based vinyasa flows, this training is a fusion of aerial, vinyasa, conscious movement, dance, and restorative practices, guided by the ancient wisdom of the Five Elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Spirit).
Flowing, dynamic sequences meet the silk’s support, allowing you to move as if dancing with air while rooted in breath.
The silk becomes more than a prop, it becomes a space to explore alignment, inversions, fluid transitions, release, grounding, and emotional release.
You delve into methodology (asanas with the silk), restorative practices, pranayama, sequencing, spotting and safe adjustments, and a full practicum where you get to practice teaching others.
The course is YACEP-accredited (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Program), a solid credential if you’re already a 200-hour yoga teacher or wish to deepen your practice professionally or personally.
This combination, aerial suspension + flowing vinyasa + elemental awareness is rare. It invites you to move with the silk as water moves, dance through transitions, build strength and flexibility, surrender in restorative holds, reconnect with breath, and awaken subtle layers of awareness.
Whether you aim to teach or deepen your own practice, this aerial yoga teacher training offers a holistic, embodied approach that bridges body, breath, energy, and creativity.

Meet the Teacher: Catarina Aires Mota, Movement as Medicine
Catarina Aires Mota is a deep-practitioner of movement, breath and healing arts. Her background is rich and varied: she trained in Ayurvedic massage, sound massage with Tibetan bowls, and Kundalini massage in India.
In 2012 she completed a 200-hour Tantra Yoga Teacher Training (Tri Dosha Method) in India, the moment when “movement as medicine” became her lifestyle. From there, she began teaching in Norway and later deepened her path into aerial arts, vinyasa flow, breathwork, dance, water movement and more.
Her teaching style blends softness with strength, fluidity with grounding, breath with awareness, rooted in respect for each person’s unique body and journey.
Catarina herself describes:
“The body is the map. The breath is the guide.”
🧘♀️ What people say about her

“The program is very professional and each day is logically organised after each element. Catarina lives and breathes this material — she spreads so much knowledge, enthusiasm and love for the craft. You will come out a changed person ❤️.” — Elisabeth Gilli, Oslo, Norway
